Window Pricing Estimator

There are many factors can influence the cost of a replacement window installation. With that in mind, we developed this Estimator to be transparent and helpful, giving you an idea of what the cost range might be for a typical replacement project using high-performing products, professional installers, and a strong warranty. We recommend using the calculator multiple times to see how different choices and quantities impact the overall price, especially for more complex options like Bay or Bow Windows, which should be evaluated separately.

Keep in mind that many energy-efficient windows qualify for a Federal Energy Saving Tax Credit, adding potential savings to your investment.

Number of Windows

Many homeowners choose to replace their windows in stages rather than all at once. However, replacing a larger number of windows at the same time often offers better cost savings and overall value.
The amount must be at least 1.

Window Material

Choosing the right material is crucial for a window's energy efficiency and durability, but the design is just as important. Vinyl is the most popular choice for high-performing replacement windows due to its excellent balance of durability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance.

Glass Options

Improvements in insulating glass technology have greatly improved the energy efficiency of glass compared to insulating glass units used in the past. Glass is the largest part of a window and has the greatest impact on energy efficiency. High-performing replacement windows typically feature Low Emissivity (Low-E) coatings on some glass surfaces and low-conductivity Argon gas between the panes, which help to improve insulation and reduce energy costs. The vast majority of replacement windows installed today are built with a Low-E coating and insulating Argon gas trapped between them.

Additional Options

Adding decorative grids inside the insulating glass panes creates a classic, elegant look that complements traditional home styles. Grids come in various configurations, with Colonial and Prairie being the most popular choices. Alternatively, many modern designs offer internal operating blinds between the glass, providing convenience and a clean, dust-free look.
